The routes of the Giro Classico

Your Giro Classico starts and ends in Pisa, Tuscany. The trips are always between 90 and 120 km. Each day you’ll have the choice to ride on your own (with your digital roadbook & GPS) or to follow your guide and enjoy the group atmosphere!

The Vespa Trip Explained

WHAT IS INCLUDED

The price for The Vespa Trip Tuscany starts from €670 per person* and includes:

  • Five nights in different hotels, including daily breakfast
  • The rent of your amazing Vespa, helmets and lock
  • The transport of your luggage
  • The care of the guides
  • Designed routes
  • Probably the best experience of a lifetime

The fuel for your vespa (around €30 – €40 for the whole week), excursions, your lunch and dinner are not included.

*This price is calculated on two people per Vespa. More information about driving alone can be found under ‘your Vespa’.

YOUR VESPA

Throughout your trip in Tuscany, you’ll have your own 125cc Vespa at your disposal. On your arrival day, the paperwork will be taken care of and on Tuesday or Wednesday morning you will get your keys. If you booked the Start-To-Vespa lessons, it will take place on Monday or Tuesday. On Friday or Saturday, you return back to Pisa, and it’s time to say goodbye to your beloved Vespa.

Can I drive the Vespa solo?
The prices are calculated with the assumption that the Vespa is shared between 2 people. If you would like to drive solo, there is a supplement of €130 per single driver (per person).

DRIVING LICENSE

In order to drive our Vespas in Tuscany, you must have a driving license (B) or a motorbike license (A) and be 18+. The license (AM) is not valid. The passenger sitting in the back does not need to be 18 nor have a driving license.

You have a European driving license? That’s perfect! Your license isn’t for Europe? Then you’ll need to apply for an international driving license.

START-TO-VESPA

Never ridden a Vespa or scooter before? We highly recommend taking the Start-to-Vespa class. On your arrival day in Tuscany, your guide will provide all the essential information plus an introductory lesson to help you get comfortable with riding and to ensure you can drive safely in Italian traffic.

After the lesson, you’ll have your Vespa for extra practice and to start exploring at your own pace. This class costs €50 per person.

GPS

The designed routes for the Vespa tour in Tuscany are uploaded on a GPS, which you can easily attach to the steering wheel of your Vespa. With this GPS (+ €30) you’ll come by the most beautiful roads and arrive at the most stunning stops.

LUGGAGE

Our enthusiastic guides will take the greatest care of your luggage. Every morning, they will put all your suitcases in our van to drive them to the next hotel.

FOOD

Every morning, you can enjoy an included breakfast. For lunch, we daily recommend you the best spots in the places we stop. For dinner, you’ll be invited to join your fellow Vespa trippers, or you can ask your guides for good restaurants around.

VESPA WAIVER

Your Vespa automatically includes insurance for damage to third parties. For coverage of damage to your own Vespa, you can choose between two options. You may opt for the Vespa waiver at €99 per Vespa, which brings your liability to €0 and requires no deposit. If you prefer not to take the waiver, a €500 deposit will be required, for which you are fully liable in the event of damage.

About a month before departure, you’ll receive an email where you can select the option that suits you best.

INSURANCES

CANCELLATION INSURANCE

This insurance gives you the opportunity to book without worries. You’ll be able to cancel your trip to Tuscany until the day of departure and receive a full refund, provided that you can show a valid reason for doing so. You can read the conditions here.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

This travel insurance provides assistance in the event of an accident. Make sure you never travel uninsured! Residents of Europe can arrange a travel insurance through us when booking.

How do I get in Tuscany?

The best way to travel to Italy for your Tuscany trip is to fly to the airport of Pisa (PSA). The Vespa Trip does not offer flights, so you have to book these yourself. Should you have any doubts, feel free to email us, and we will help you!

CAR

If you come by car to Tuscany, you can easily park it for a whole week in a guarded area near the hotel. You can book it in advance using this link, but it is not necessary. You can also do this on-site upon arrival. You’ll pay about €120 to leave your car there for a full week. The address of the parking is: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II 56125, Pisa

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

From the airport you can take an electric metro, the PISAMOVER, which will take you to the Pisa train station in only 5 minutes. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from there. A ticket costs €6,5 per person and can be bought at the entrance. The mini metro departs every 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day. If you come by train, you only have to walk another 2 minutes to get to the hotel.

FOOT

Yes, you can also walk from Pisa airport to the hotel! Since the airport is only 1.7 km away, you can walk this distance and get there in about 20 minutes.

TAXI

You can also take a taxi from Pisa airport to Hotel La Pace. This will cost you about €20, and it’ll take less than 15 minutes.

FAQs

Are there any clothing requirements for riding a Vespa?

A helmet and closed shoes (so no flip-flops or sandals) are always mandatory when riding a Vespa on our Vespa trips.

Who are the Vespa Trippers?

The average age of The Vespa Tripper in 2025 was 40 years, of which the majority were in their mid-twenties or mid-fifties. All Vespa Trippers, young or old, share the same love for the beautiful Italy and adventure. During the last edition, the participants mainly came from Belgium, France, and The Netherlands. However we had Vespa Trippers joining from 26 different countries.

Generally, people join this adventure in a group of two or four people: a mix of friends and couples.

  • Solo room supplement: €250 p.p.
  • Solo Vespa driver supplement: €130 p.p.

Do we drive solo or in a group?

The choice is yours! You get a digital roadbook at the beginning of the week with the stops and interesting facts listed. If you prefer to ride solo, you can book the GPS in which all routes are loaded. This way you’ll easily pass the most beautiful tracks and most interesting stops.

Do you prefer to follow the guide? Great! Follow the group and let them lead you along the routes while you enjoy the views along the way even more.
